Going for Gold at Birmingham Children’s Hospital
The Midland Decorative Surfaces team recently completed a project at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Based in the city centre, Birmingham Children’s Hospital is a leading UK specialist paediatric centre offering expert care to more than 90,000 children and young people from across the country each year.
We are extremely honoured to have worked with Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust and are proud to have provided surfacing systems to match the highest quality that the hospital represents.
Throughout Birmingham Children’s Hospital a wide variety of colours are used to create an uplifting environment for children and parents. By using vibrant colours for interior and exterior elements of the hospital, this creates a less clinical and more comforting atmosphere. Our team were contracted to provide a new decorative surfacing system for a courtyard within the hospital grounds. To fit with the golden brown of the wood panels decorating the exterior walls of the courtyard, we used a Rhine Gold 16mm aggregate for a resin bound system.
We are extremely happy with the end result.
